Self-Development: Why you shouldn’t fear
Fear doesn’t actually make the situation go away.
Furthermore:
It paralyses you.
It stops you from thinking objectively.
It will make you do what you shouldn’t do sometimes.
It will sometimes make you lie or live a lie.
It is stressful to live with fear.
Fear will not give you peace of mind most of the time.
But,
Of course, there are some fears that are not of the paralysing, depressive, or catastrophic type.
For example, you just can't imagine yourself eating raw fish, oysters, etc. due to fear of potential parasites in fish.
And,
There are some fears that are genuine, like those that involve a threat to life, danger, etc.
Lets just say,
The kind of fear I am talking about here is specifically the fear of taking action, trying to do things, making an effort, etc. to have a better quality of life.
How do you destroy fear?
Some solutions:
Face your fear head-on.
Look at the facts of what you are fearing vs your imagined fear
Take the time out to really relieve the anxiety around your fear; it might mean a change of location to refresh your mind
Realize that you can't be perfect. You can't be faultless. You will always have faults and errors. So why worry?
Use your mind for positive imaginations.
What do you do to conquer your fears?
